Air NZ to offer lie-flat economy
Air New Zealand will offer a lie-flat seat in economy class from December as part of a major overhaul of its in-flight product.
The ‘Skycouch’ will see a row of three economy seats converted to a lie-flat bed with space to sleep two adults.
"The days of sitting in economy and yearning to lie down and sleep are gone," says chief executive Rob Fyfe.
Passengers will pay standard rates for each of their two economy seats, with the third seat to sell at half-price. The new product will be introduced when Air NZ takes delivery of its new Boeing 777-300 from December. |
